The Astrological Society of St. Petersburg was founded on October 5th of 1989, by Sergey Vasilevich Shestopalov, who has been its rector ever since. The Academy is currently registered as a Private Higher Education Establishment.

In a three-year period, academy students get basic astrological education. Special attention is paid to the line of scientific forecasting astrology, as well as to S. V. Shestopalov’s "Formulas of Events" conception. According to this conception, which is based on astrological analysis of numerous statistical materials, each event in our life may be represented by a formula, it becomes defined and predictable.

Major developments of AA of St. Petersburg: formulas of common and rare diseases, profession formulas, formulas of relationship compatibility, marriage and divorce, moving, life-threatening situations, professional advancement, also structural (behavioral) astro-psychology and many other aspects of human life. The S. V. Shestopalov Conception implements the principals of ancient hermetic astrology, which favors keeping records of the horoscope houses combinations, relying on the interaction of their elements. Then, calculations are carried out on the basis of modern mathematics and programming.
