The Formulas of the Events in Predictive Astrology

Most authors of astrological works consider the interaction of the elements of the horoscope only in pairs having that as a base for their conclusions and predictions. Of course, a scillful astrologist analizes the chart as a whole and concludes in respect of his intuition and accumulated experience. However, latter remains his own "know-how" and, to a considerable extent, can be conveyed to a disciple only via individual teaching.

Predictive astrology is the main direction in the work of Sankt-Peterburg Astrological Academy. A lot is being done to generalize and formulize our experience so that the secrets of masters could be available to any student. First of all, we have formulated the rule of, so called, "three indications" which in a vague form exists in astrology (for example, Ll.George, R. de Luice).

The rule of "three indications" says:

1) the probability of event provided with only one indication is equal to 30% which in its turn means that the event is unlikely to happen;

2) two similar indications increase the probability up to 70% and in this case the event is likely to happen;

3) three or more indications accord 100% probability and make us sure that event will inevitably happen.

As well as to natal charts this rule is related to progressions and transits.

Thus, three indications at each of these three levels (natal, progressed and transit) must be known to predict that the event will inevitably happen.

For progressions and transits the rule of "three indications" can be modified as a rule of "three aspects".

The event happens when all three progressed aspects are covered by their orbs with one of the aspects being either applying or exact.

There are needed at least three applying transit aspects with one of them being exact on the day of event.

Methods.

Koch, natal and local charts, only major aspects (conjunction, sextile, sqare, trine and opposition) between the planets in natal charts and between the transit and natal planets, orbs are 6.5 degrees for Pluto and 8.5 degrees for the rest planets, two kinds of progressions: slow and quick, progressed aspects between planets and cusps: major plus semisextile (good) and quincunx (bad), progressed orbs are 1 degrees. The slow progression is the "day-for-year" progression, MC runs 1 degree/365 days. The quick progression is "one year for twelwe years" progression, MC runs 30 degrees/365 days. Progressions are made for local chart.

The rectification of birthtime is made by quick progression on base of the first marrige date. The significators of the first marrige are Venus (day birth) or Moon (night birth) for men and Sun (day birth) or Mars (night birth) for women. At the moment of registration of the first marrige progressed MC produces the exact aspect (0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180) with the significator. Rectification by other events is equivocal.

The concrete event (death, illness, promotion, robbery, etc.) is very often formed by the interaction of several houses of horoscope which are involved via planets or cusps or through the rulers of the houses. Henceforth, let us call cusps, planets and rulers as elements of houses.

Besides, a planet can be the element of several houses as being itself in some house and as a ruler of an other houses.

In our school Mars rules Scorpio, Pluto is the ruler of Aries, the rest planets are as classical.

Retrograde planets are double rulers:

Mars retr. rules Scorpio and Aries, Pluto retr. rules Aries and Scorpio, Jupiter retr. and Neptun retr. rule Pisces and Sagittarius, Saturn retr. and Uran retr. rule Capricorn and Aquarius.

The first ruler of the house is derived from the sign on the cusp of this house. The second ruler is derived from the second sign if the sign contains more degrees than the first sign or its measure is more than 13.5 degrees in the house. The third (fourth, etc.) sign springs the third (fourth, etc.) ruler if the sign occupies more than 13.5 degrees in the house.

The position and rulership in natal and local chart are equally importent.

Results.

Our studies of concrete events led us to a discovery - the formulas of the events. A formula is a certain combination of the houses of a horoscope.

Considering that both cusps and planets are the elements of the houses we'll mark them with Roman numerals corresponding to the numbers of the houses. The nature of the planet itself is of some significance.

We'll mark "~ " the disharmonic interaction (bad conjunction, square, quincunx or opposition), "+" the harmonic interaction (good conjunction, semisextile, sextile or trine), "± " the mixed interaction.

Earliar the formula of dangerous situations (including death) was obtain by us:

I | X ~ VIII - disharmonic interaction of the elements of the first or tenth houses with the elements of the eighth house. Symbol "|" (vertical line) here means "and/or".

When this kind of progressed aspects to radical elements are formed it means that the owner of this horoscope faces a dangerous event or even death.

The formula of danger in natal chart is:

(1) I | X ~ VIII.

Than more there are indications of similar character in chart than more there are dangers in life.

Besides, the position of Black Moon (apogee of the moon orbit) in the first or tenth houses is one of the indications. Black Moon can be considered as an element of the eighth house.

The formula of danger from or to other person:

    (2) I | X ~ VIII ~ VII, i.e. (1) ~ VII.

This formula could be also called as the formula of a hate.

The formula of killing (for killer and for dead):

    (3) I | X ~ VIII ~ VII ~ XI, i.e. (2) ~ XI.

The formula of suicide:

    (4) I | X ~ VIII ~ XI ~ Uran, i.e. (1) ~ XI ~ Uran.

Other formulas:

    (5) an offence against the law is IX ~ XII;

    (6) theft is II ~ VIII ~ XI ~ XII ~IX, i.e (5) and II ~ VIII ~ XI.

(The twelfth house also indicates at a secret character of the event);

    (7) robbery - (6) with (2);

    (8) theft of apartment - (6) ~ IV;

    (9) robbery of apartment - (8) with (2);

    (10) fire - II ~ IV ~ YIII ~ IX ~ XI;

    (11) driving away of a car - (6) ~ III;

    (12) breakdown of a car - II ~ III ~ VIII ~ XI;

    (13) car collision (12) ~ VII;   with danger – (13) ~ I | X

    (14) father's death in natal chart - IV | I ~ YIII ~ XI

(the system of derivative houses is used here);

        a) father's death in progressions:     (14) with I | X ± VIII ± XI;

    (15) mother's death in natal chart - X | YII ~ VIII ~ V;

in progressions - (15) with I | X ± VIII ± V;

    (16) husband's (wife's) death in natal chart -   VII | IV ~ YIII ~ II;

Being presented in the natal chart this combination indicates the possibility of serios desease. The participation of the other houses, the nature of planets and signs permit to give a diagnosis. Specifically, if the fifth and ninth houses are connected it can be indication at a heart attack than is more probable with Saturn. And the third and ninth houses indicate at a head attack.

The very afflicted Moon as an element of the VI or YIII or XII houses is an indication at a serious problems of conception.

We have also obtained the formula of cancer disease in 1991:
